…I get into a productive zone. During breaks, I either say a quick “Hi” to my sons or scroll through my phone, often laughing at funny social media posts. Recently, while browsing LinkedIn, I came across a post featuring a GIF of Phyllis Vance and Stanley Hudson from The Office, high-fiving each other. Naturally, as a big fan of the show, I clicked on the post. It was shared by The Headhunters LLC, a boutique staffing firm, celebrating their impressive achievement of placing 10 candidates in 9 weeks—a refreshing and eye-catching post for an incredible accomplishment!
Since entering the recruiting game in 2016, I’ve had the pleasure of being part of great teams and working with fantastic colleagues at large corporations. Along the way, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and developed skills that I plan to use throughout my career. I always try to bring my personality into my work, whether it’s sending a meme or adding a joke to an email. I aim to share a laugh with everyone I encounter daily!
Fast forward to the present, and I had the privilege of connecting with Bill Wednieski, the founder of The Headhunters and the author of those engaging LinkedIn posts. Our conversations quickly revealed that our personalities and marketing strategies were in sync. Meeting his team members—Rachel, Anna, and Teresa—was equally delightful. They exuded a charm and aura that was truly captivating. Learning more about The Headhunters, it became clear that they were more than just witty LinkedIn posters; they are a dedicated recruiting firm committed to helping candidates and clients find long-term solutions to their hiring needs. They combine traditional networking strategies with modern marketing techniques, including the use of AI, all while maintaining a fundamental mindset of working hard and enjoying the ups and downs of recruiting. I was thrilled to join The Headhunters!
Any company willing to share a funny GIF or meme is a company I’d love to be a part of—and now I am. I’m excited to get started and look forward to helping candidates and clients alike! As for that Office reference that initially caught my eye, just like Michael Scott, I’ll be working hard to earn my “World’s Best Boss” mug, even if it is from Spencer Gifts.
